Via Creativa

Creativity, imagination, and excellence are at the heart of education at St. Anthony Catholic School. In addition to the many opportunities for artistic expression in which the students are able to participate during the school day, we also offer Via Creativa.

Via Creativa is an after-school program dedicated to the arts that allow students to explore varying areas of interest. Via Creativa students engage in activities that emphasize technique, risk-taking, and aesthetic awareness through the exploration of:

  • Soccer
  • Visual Arts
  • Dance
  • Flag Football
  • Band

Invest in your child’s future! TechStars prepares students for elementary school. Our team of educators has provided classes for 26 years in the metro area. Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) classes include: Introduction to coding and programming, beginning engineering, LEGO and K’nex activities, Robotics, Laptops, Software, iPads and integrated lessons featuring science, art, technology, languages, math and reading. Hands-on learning made fun!

Technology is an adventure! Computer Explorers join STA in offering a hands-on class where our eagles will learn skills such as engineering and building simple machines and computer programming. Students will enhance their technology skills with hands-on activities learning more coding, video game design, electrical circuits, engineering, LEGO Robotics, LEGO movie making (featuring Stars Wars, Minecraft, and more!),and art integration. Join the Club! Lets Imagine, Design, and Discover Together!

This class will expose students to different genres of dance including tap, jazz and ballet. Mary Schiele Scanlon instructs these classes with a fun approach to the principles of dance while improving developmental skills, flexibility, balance and coordination.

A fun and exciting Etiquette course designed to encourage and emphasize good manners in today’s busy society. Some of the topics that will be discussed include: respect, responsibility, posture, personal hygiene, giving and receiving compliments, manners for all social occasions, meeting and greeting, and much more. Skyhawks Sports Academy will be offering Soccer to our Eagles! While teaching life lessons    such as respect and teamwork, Skyhawks Soccer will give your eagle either a positive first      step into this fun sport (K4-K5) or teach and build on the rules and essential skills of soccer (1st-4th).

Skyhawks Sports Academy flag football is the perfect program for your young athletes who want a complete introduction to America's Game or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills in preparation for league play. Students will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning - all presented in a fun & positive environment.

Mrs. Amanda Valentine, St. Anthony Art Teacher,leads students in expressing themselves  

and exploring their creativity through visual art. Students will build on skills painting, drawing, cutting, and gluing while also gaining a better understanding of the elements and principles of visual art, design, and art history.

Band Register at 

Mr. Ronnie Russell, Band Director for St. Joseph Catholic School, Band Director for St. Joseph Catholic School, will be introducing students to the fundamentals of instrument playing, reading music, and determining which instrument suits each individual student.
